Outside of the opening and exchanging of gifts, there aren't too many Christmas traditions in my family. My grandmother used to always have a bottle of Harvey's Bristol Cream around the holidays, so my mom and I have carried that through. And of course, there's always masses of baked goods, but I do that all year anyway ;)

This Christmas Eve, I made a big pot of Julia Child's boeuf bourguignon and we watched Inglourious Basterds. Afterwards, cleaning up and watching A Charlie Brown Christmas…tomorrow I'll probably indulge in one of my favorite Christmas cartoons, Olive the Other Reindeer, possibly subjecting my dear boy to Love Actually and The Holiday depending on how much time we end up spending down at my dad's place.

Does your family observe any holiday traditions this time of year, be they more traditional (opening one gift on Christmas Eve, It's A Wonderful Life, et cetera) or specifically yours/your family's?

Here's wishes to everyone for a happy Christmas, or just a happy December 25th if you don't celebrate Christmas (for whatever reason), and also a joyful whatever holiday you happen to celebrate (or have already celebrated)!

So, I hate to bother, but I've been looking everywhere to solve this problem and I haven't been able to get a definitive answer. I'm trying to read up on my Green Lantern before I get into the Blackest Night storyline by going through the collected graphic novels, but I'm confused as to the order of the books leading up to it, and I'm not even sure of the entire list. Does anyone know the chronological order of the books? DC used to have a list of every graphic they put out in order, so you could know if you had say, every Batman graphic out there, but their site has changed a lot recently. To the best of my knowledge, the War of Light started with and then went in order from:

Sinestro Corps War Vol. 1
Sinestro Corps War Vol. 2
Tales of the Sinestro Corp
Rage of the Red Lanterns
Agent Orange

I can't figure out where Sins of the Star Sapphire fits in, and I know I'm missing a few books in the arc. I'm not even sure if the Blue Lanterns got a book and I'm sure there are more. If anyone knows the list of the collected editions in order leading up to the Blackest Night, I'd really really appreciate it. And for that matter, if anyone knows where DC keeps the publication history of their collected graphics, it would sure be handy. Thanks for any help you can give. I know this isn't the complete list of GL books since the war of light started, and I know the order is wrong, which is all very frustrating as there really isn't a list out there. And if anyone happens to know, I'm actually having the same issue with the newest incarnation of Justice League of America. When it was JLA at least they were numbered, but I'm getting pretty confused with the recent ones. Thanks so much to anyone that can help!

The random lesbian sky pirates bit is turning into…something. I'm not sure what yet.

Meet Gabriel Anudux Oriensing. He had no idea what he was signing up for when he answered the ad looking for a pilot -- let alone even considering the idea that he may be flying a plane (airship? Zeppelin? Spaceship? Still working on that) full of sexy ladies.

Gabe's young for a pilot, but he was born to fly -- it's in his blood. His middle name, Anudux, is after his grandfather on his mother's side, Anudux Ferro, one of the most cunning pilots in history and one of the big heroes of The War. Gabe is brilliant, if a bit shy…he's much more comfortable with his hands on the controls of a ship than on the hips of a lady. And no, he isn't gay. He just gets his thrills in a different manner than most guys. He's been flying since he was four, on his granddad's knee.

I don't know too much about Marianne (outside of the fact that she's another member of the crew), though I think I may have named my hyena lass…Camille. Dunno if she goes by Cammy or Millie yet.
